About me

My name is Mari van der Westhuizen and I’m a surface pattern designer living in beautiful, sunsoaked Perth, Australia. As a wife and mother of two girls, all my days are filled with creativity in one way or another. Designing gives me the space for my unending creative spirit to play.

My design style can be fresh and light, or beautifully patterned and intriguing, but always uplifting and pleasing to the eye, to allow the eye to linger longer. I love simplicity and the authentic nature of hand drawn art that calms the soul.

I am inspired by every aspect of my family life, the coastal environment and nature, finding the joy of creating in everything I do. I hope my designs will send a little joy and beauty into your world.
